"Sea Sentinel" will be shown at the Nanaimo Art Gallery on Vancouver Island from June 11 to 29th. This painting has been donated for fundraising efforts to the Bamfield Marine Sciences Center for assisting students participate in their marine research facilities. I was among 36 other Federation of Canadian Artists who were graciously hosted by the BMSC in January for a four day painting opportunity of the West Coast of Canada at their Center.
"Trail Boss" continues to garner attention as the painting was chosen for the International Pastel Societies 18 month calendar and has been chosen for the Northwest Pastel Society show running from July 16 to August 15 at American Art Company, Tacoma, Washington. Artist reception is July 16.
I am pleased to announce that "Mystery Flight"has received a first place award at the Fraser Valley Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists Show. Also selected for the juried show was "Marsh Spring". Artists' reception will be held on Thursday, March 5 from 7:00 to 8:30 at Chilliwack City Hall, 8550 Young Rd., Chilliwack. Show runs March 3 to April 16, 2009.
